HobbyLink Japan (HLJ) is having a 30% off PG Raiser 00 Initial Production version at the moment! That's a complete saving of ¥7,500! That's massive! I'd already bought 2 when they were normal priced! Could have gotten a 3rd one at this price. ARGH!!!
Anyway if you want to get one now, head over to HLJ for the order.
*Update: I think the only reason as to why they've decided to drop the price now is due to deadline for ordering the clear part set, which was March 15 2010 is already over. But if you want to own your own PG 00 Raiser I think it's still a great price.
Adobe has just put up a new homepage with a countdown for the release of Creative Suite 5, also known as CS5; which by the way is Monday, April 12, 2010 @ 4pm GMT. Every year or two Adobe always releases a new version of CS and even though they do bring new features and better ways of handling things, that to me is not so exciting. What gets me excited though is the new Content-Aware fill feature.
Check out the video below.
Not sure if this is going to be available as an addon to CS4 or only available in the new CS5 but either way this is one very cool feature and will definately save alot of time processing your pictures.

Found this over @ Lifehacker which shows you how to make perfect wine bottle cuts using the simplest of methods... Hot water. Yep! Hot water.
The video itself is abit long winded but at least the presenter is pretty thorough. If you want to jump straight to where he starts to cut the wine bottle, jump to about 3m 40s to start.

Two movies that I'm drooling over now are Iron Man 2 and Tron Legacy. Iron Man 2 is slated to be released around end of April and for Tron Legacy it's probably going to be around end of year, according to IMDB anyway.
Here is the second and latest trailer for Iron Man 2.
And here is the same for Tron Legacy.

For those haven't heard, from the 1st of March 2010, owners of Sony's (Phat) PS3 were suffering connectivity issues with the PlayStation Network (PSN) and the main reason behind it is due to the Leap Year bug. When you turn on your PS3, the first thing you'll notice is that you're prompted with an error 8001050F and the date/time has been reset to 1st January 2000. WTF?!
When you go into the System Settings to reset the date from the internet, it says that it can't connect and therefore the only way is to change it manually and you're away. But you're still out of luck connecting to the PSN again prompting the same error code.
Checking DLCs you'll find that any unlocks that you may have purchased to unlock full games are gone and trophy information are not saved causing some games to quit expectantly. That is when you start pulling out your hair (whats left of it) and worry what happened to all of your purchases...
Good thing is that the boys and or girls were hard at it and managed to solve the issue today. Turning on your PS3 will verify that everything is back to normal. So why is this affecting the phat PS3s?! Don't know... If it is infact the Leap Year bug, I'm certain that Sony can come up with a proper firmware fix to address this issue in the future.

The reality of how shows are made these days are with lots and lots of green screens. The technical term is Chroma key and what it does is a technique for mixing two images or frames together in which a colour (or a small colour range) from one image is removed (or made transparent), revealing another image behind it. It has been in the filming practice for decades now and I guess more apparent in TV shows now too. Check out the video below.
I guess with the technologies of today, it is much easier to alter anything you like giving the watcher the illusion that that's the scene shot.
Check out this fan-built Lego Technic Avatar Aerospatiale SA-2 Samson VTOL helicopter. I don't know how it look to built this bad boy but damn it looks fantastic!
I'd imagine retrofitting it into the AT-99 "Scorpion" Gunship wouldn't be too hard but if this was ever released by Lego, I would most surely get it.
